A mouse is a pointing device that allows you to move the mouse cursor. It usually has two buttons which allow you to click and double-click. Newer mice have a wheel in between the two buttons that can also act as a third button.
A mouse has one of three possible connectors: PS/2, serial or bus. The mouse can be standard (with a cord) or cordless. Alternatives to the mouse include the trackball, touchpad, trackpoint, and joystick.
